Fe Gingging Hyde as MARIPOSA
In the midst of this dark deluge, Mariposa, 35 years old, has her hopes kept intact. She holds the power of a shaman. Her cries reach the heavens and the forests; her weeping causes a downpour of fish on a land that only knows suffering.
Perry Dizon as WAHAB
Wahab, 60 years old, rules a cult in the island. He weilds power over water, wind, metal and light. He believes God gave him his power, but in truth, it has long dark story.
Madz Garcia as MAYKA
Mayka, 25 years old, symbolizes the surge of strikes of the Mindanao farmers' armed revolution. She and mariposa join forces to face their common enemy -- Wahab.
Jeff Sabayle as ALFAD
Alfad, 25 years old, wants to work abroad. He sails to the sea but the wind and darkness swallowed him in the midst of it. His soul returns to the island of his birth, and he finds his memories on its shore.
Jillian Khayle Barbarona as ALIYAH
Aliyah, 8 years old, is the soul of the uncertain future who will be born on the cusp of the new day. She helps Alfad penetrates his memories of the past. When the two returned to their homeland, they find the old pueblo destroyed, the rice fields flattened like a desert. Food is scarce, but the mining firms that buried bodies of wretched souls in the depths of the earth abound. Dried rats, maggots and flies are the only things sold in the market. The fertile soil is forgotten, the rust eats away the metals that farm the land. With the loss of their land, the townspeople lined up for a procession as long as their litany of grievances. In the midst of their difficulty, they searched for hope. They long to have a god to save them from the hell they experience.
